Scheme on experiences of the Wadden Sea transnational partnership for wider application published
How do you create a network of networks that spans across different national and sectorial borders? In the past four years, the Trilateral Wadden Sea Cooperation, in framework of Interreg project PROWAD Link, has taken on the quest to build a transnational partnership scheme. The result: The trilateral Wadden Sea World Heritage Partnership Hub. Now, a compilation of lessons learned has been published to share this experience beyond the Wadden Sea Region.
In PROWAD Link, 15 project partners in Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway and the United Kingdom working with interested SMEs used the “nature-business-benefit-cycle” concept to develop new, sustainable products and offers in the pilot regions of the Wadden Sea (DK, D, NL), Geiranger Fjord (NO), Wash & North Norfolk Coast (UK). The 2018-2022 project is co-funded by and carried out in the framework of the Interreg North Sea Region Programme under the Programme Priority 1 “Thinking Growth”. The programme is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) of the European Union.
