As a next step towards a Trilateral Wadden Youth Network, a larger event will be held on 9 to 12 May 2024 on Schiermonnikoog (NL).

In April 2023, a group of renowned researchers from nine countries met on the Wadden Sea Hallig Langeneß for the “East Atlantic Flyway Week”, organised by LT&C, WWF, and Schutzstation Wattenmeer.

The Common Wadden Sea Secretariat (CWSS), representing the Trilateral Wadden Sea Cooperation, actively participated in the event.

After receiving a green light on the Interreg project DARKER SKY in April, 14 Danish, Dutch, French, and German project partners are thrilled to launch a ground-breaking project.

More than 150 representatives from science, nature conservation, and politics met at Wadden Sea Day titled “Put the Wadden Sea’s Biodiversity on the path to recovery!”

The Wadden Sea Flyway Initiative and its partners invited representatives from 15 flyway countries to a workshop in Dakar, Senegal, in July 2023. The aim was to discuss the key threats and possible solutions for migratory waterbird conservation along the East Atlantic Flyway.
